Edmunds released a report with a map of the US showing car popularity by state and price ranges. They collected this data throughout 2021 based on the top selling cars by each state. Only new vehicle registrations were included, so used vehicles sold through dealerships were not included in their listing data.
Ford is still America's most popular pickup truck, with 18 states that bought the most F-Series cars. Chevrolet Silverado comes in second, with 8 states listing this pickup as the best-selling vehicle in 2021.
Finally, Ram is the third most popular pickup truck sold in the States. Although new Ram vehicles have been purchased in more states than the Silverado, it still ranks third. In 10 US states, Ram was the best-selling car in 2021.
