Stellantis has decided to discontinue the Ram 1500 REV Extended Range trim. This variant was to feature a 229 kWh battery that would provide up to 500 miles of range on a single charge. However, the manufacturer has decided to focus on other projects, such as the Ramcharger.
The standard Ram 1500 REV with a 168 kWh battery will offer up to 350 miles of range. It will also feature 800-volt fast charging technology that can add up to 112 miles of range in 10 minutes.
The Ram 1500 Ramcharger takes center stage: the plug-in hybrid combines 450 hp, 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, and a range of up to 700 miles. The 3.6-liter V6 and generator system will provide up to 13,500 pounds of towing and 2,600 pounds of payload capacity. Ramcharger orders are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2025, with the Ram 1500 REV scheduled to launch in 2026.
