Ford F-150 Lightning weighs less than Rivian, hauls more than Silverado

Ford F-150 Lightning with a larger capacity battery (131 kWh) weighs less than the Rivian R1T, it's competitor, but Rivian's top battery offers 180 kWh. The F-150 Lightning's gross curb weight is a reasonable 2989 kg, which doesn't compare to the heavy GMC Hummer EV's 4103 kg. Lightning with a smaller 98 kWh battery pack weighs 2799 kg. The curb weight of the Ford F-150 Lightning will have a positive effect on a number of aspects such as acceleration, braking and handling.
The payload of the base F-150 Lightning is 907 kg. That's 54% more than the Silverado EV RST and 67% more than the Silverado EV WT. That's even more than the F-150 with a 3.3-liter V6 or 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel. That's impressive considering the fact that the pickup truck carries heavy batteries.
