Jeep has changed its plans for the 2025 Wrangler: the V6 version can again be ordered with an 8-speed automatic. Initially, the brand left this option only with a 6-speed manual, but after numerous requests from customers, the automatic transmission was brought back for an additional $4,500.
The powertrain with a 285-horsepower Pentastar V6 engine and an automatic was the result of requests from Jeep fans, said Bob Broderdorff, senior vice president of Jeep North America. The base two-door Wrangler now costs $33,990, and the four-door version costs $38,590.
Other engine options are also available in the lineup: a 2.0-liter turbo with 270 hp and a 2.0-liter turbo with 270 hp. (automatic only, +$2,500), the hybrid Wrangler 4xe (from $52,590) and the mighty Rubicon 392 with a 470-hp V8 ($100,000+), which may be in its last year.
