The bold and reliable DNA has been passed down from generation to generation. It gained strength, explored all continents and overcame impossible obstacles. The time has come for the latest evolution of the fearless legacy. Introducing the all-new 2022 Tundra. The most powerful, most efficient and most advanced body-on-frame Toyota pickup truck ever. Arriving December 2021.
Whether you’re rock-crawling or ripping through the desert, TRD Pro’s suspension helps deliver the optimal ride for rough terrain. Starting with 2.5-in.-diameter FOX® Internal Bypass shocks with piggyback reservoirs that hold more oil for outstanding off-road performance. And even when you’re in between adventures on paved roads, the new polytetrafluoroethylene-infused (PTFE) FOX® shock fluid improves on-road comfort. TRD Pro available in spring 2022.
Strong and lightweight, 20-in. TRD Sport alloy wheels with a matte-black finish give this rugged rig a magnetic look on wild terrain. And the TRD Sport Package also comes with a sport-tuned and lowered suspension equipped with Bilstein® shocks to optimize driving dynamics. TRD Sport Package available on SR5.
Delivering consistent performance when the going gets rough, TRD Off-Road’s Bilstein® shocks help steady the course. And its unique 18-in. alloy wheels come wrapped in Falken® WILDPEAK all-terrain tires to help you take on rock, dirt and mud—without losing your grip. TRD Off-Road Package available on SR5, Limited and 1794 Edition.
Tundra’s new rear air suspension automatically adjusts the rear to help it stay level when hauling a heavy load. Available on certain grades, this system also lets you choose from three manual height modes: High, for slow-speed, off-road driving; Low, to help with loading and unloading; and Normal, for everyday driving.
Now available for the first time on Tundra, Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) adjusts damping force based on ever-changing road conditions. Whether it be a large pothole, bump or rock, Tundra’s built-in actuators in the front and rear shock absorbers are designed to continuously change damping force for refined riding comfort, confident handling and enhanced towing stability.
Tundra’s available electronically locking rear differential for TRD Pro and TRD Off-Road Packages evenly distributes engine power to both rear wheels. Once the system is engaged, both rear wheels move at the same speed and provide more grip in low-traction conditions.
When you’re in the thick of it, this available system helps regulate wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control. In 4x4 low and high range, a quick turn of the dial toggles between terrain modes: Mud, Sand, Rock, Mogul (i-FORCE only) or Auto (i-FORCE MAX only).
Tundra’s Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) is designed to warn you when a vehicle in the next lane enters your blind spot on either side of the vehicle. When you engage Toyota’s Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC), the system automatically senses there’s a trailer connected, estimates its length and activates Trailer Merge Warning—all without any input from the driver. And when you’re reversing out of a tight spot, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) helps detect vehicles approaching from either side, warning you with side mirror indicators and a warning tone. Altogether, Tundra’s advanced safety technologies bring added peace of mind to every journey.
The all-new Tundra TRD Pro is built for the great outdoors. Featuring 18-in. BBS® 143 forged alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, an off-road suspension with FOX® 135 shocks, and a TRD aluminum skid plate—this truck fears no trail. And with Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) and Crawl Control (CRAWL) 146 standard, TRD Pro doesn't let obstacles get in the way of a good time. Take hold of the reins and get ready for unforgettable adventures.
No cords needed. Just sit inside, and your compatible smartphone seamlessly casts your favorite apps, maps and music onto Tundra’s audio multimedia display.
A big upgrade. With one of the largest multimedia touchscreens available in its segment, 149 Tundra lets you see, control and connect to your tech like never before.
A signature Toyota feature. Tundra’s rear glass raises and fully lowers with the push of a button, making it easier to grab your gear—or give your four-legged friend a better view.
Tundra’s premium interior features available leather-trimmed and soft-touch materials throughout—and available heated/ventilated front seats—for maximum comfort on wild rides.
With just the push of a button, Tundra’s available panoramic moonroof opens up to give you a glimpse of the big, wide world waiting to be explored.
When you see those TRD letters, it reminds everyone of Toyota’s legendary off-road heritage. TRD Pro’s strong and lightweight BBS® 18-inch forged-aluminum wheels come wrapped in Falken® WILDPEAK all-terrain tires so you can confidently take on tough trails. And a high-strength aluminum TRD Pro skid plate helps protect this beast’s underbelly as you adventure off the grid. TRD Pro available in spring 2022.
