BMW celebrates the 25th anniversary of the X5 with a special Silver Anniversary Edition. The series is dedicated to the anniversary of the release of the original X5 model, released in September 1999. Based on the xDrive40i, the Silver Anniversary Edition features unique Lime Rock Gray paint, badging and blacked-out exterior accents.
The X5 Anniversary Edition will also receive the xOffroad off-road package: air suspension, mechanical rear differential lock and underbody protection. There will be 4 driving modes, adapted to different terrain (snow, sand, gravel and stones), with adjustment of ground clearance, gear shift and acceleration.
BMW extends its off-road capabilities with a camera and xOffroad View on the center screen, providing real-time terrain data. Although the X5 is usually chosen for asphalt, this version can be equipped with off-road tires. Inside, the BMW X5 xOffroad offers carbon fiber trim and luxurious seating options. The special edition, limited to 1,000 units in the US, starts at $81,075, including additional accessories such as a roof rack and all-weather floor mats.
