Jeep is preparing to introduce the new generation Compass (J4U), which will become an important part of the brand's global strategy. This compact crossover is built on the STLA Medium platform from Stellantis and will receive a wide range of powertrains: a gasoline engine, a mild hybrid, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and a fully electric version (BEV).
Fresh teaser images show an updated design of the model with a redesigned radiator grille and stylish taillights. Production will begin in Italy at the Melfi plant. The official premiere will take place next month in Europe, and North American assembly will start in early 2026 in Canada.
The European version of the Compass will be exclusively electrified: e-Hybrid, PHEV and BEV, with only the BEV 4xe receiving all-wheel drive. In North America, Jeep is rethinking its powertrain strategy and may prioritize a gasoline variant.
