MotorTrend tested the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X (2026 model) — the most powerful and expensive Corvette ever built. Its hybrid system combines a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with a front electric motor, delivering a total of 1,250 hp.
On regular asphalt, the coupe accelerated to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and completed the quarter mile (~402 m) in 9.2 seconds. This is one of the best results among production cars, while braking and handling remain at a high level.
On the track and on wet pavement, the ZR1X impresses with its stability. The electric motor pulls the car out of corners, reducing the risk of oversteer, and the traction control system allows for safe high-speed driving. The model costs over $200,000, but in terms of power and performance, this Corvette sets new benchmarks.
