2027 Jeep Renegade: Model Returns as Jeep's $25K Electric SUV

Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa announced the return of the Renegade to North America as a fully electric vehicle (BEV) priced under $25,000. The debut will have to wait: the release of an affordable electric SUV is scheduled for 2027.
The new Renegade will be based on the STLA Small platform. For comparison, the electric Citroen e-C3 on the Stellantis Smart Car architecture, with a 44 kWh battery, produces 111 hp. (83 kW) and a power reserve of 320 km. While specific details of the new Jeep Renegade have not yet been confirmed, a hybrid variant may also arrive to appeal to a wider range of buyers.
Despite the Jeep Renegade's promising price, it's worth waiting for information on range and charging. If launched successfully, the new Renegade could have a significant impact on the electric SUV market and availability.
