Dodge, Ram, Jeep: a ton of news from Stellantis

Stellantis amazed us with an overwhelming stream of information about their future EV plans, including plans for each of their brands to meet the goal of making electrified vehicles 80% of the company's total global sales by 2030. Here are the highlights with the greatest value for the US market.

The four new electric platforms will offer battery capacities ranging from 37 kWh to over 200 kWh.

Dodge will launch the world's first electric muscle car in 2024. Based on the STLA Large platform, it is predicted to accelerate from 0 to 100 in just 2 seconds and range up to 500 miles (~ 800 km). The automaker has also hinted at a maximum power output of up to 886 horsepower thanks to a pair of 330-kilowatt electric motors.

Jeep's 4xe plug-in hybrid models will appear in the Jeep lineup by 2025. The Compass 4xe for the US market is expected to debut this summer and the Wagoneer 4xe has already been announced. The Grand Cherokee 4xe will be shown at the New York International Auto Show in August.
